Beautiful, Priya. Love this: “I want to look back on 2024 and know that I wrote continually, and that I was wrung dry of words.” You’ve spoken what’s in my heart. I look forward to seeing what emerges on your pages.

Thank you, Camilla! The art is the starting point for the writing, so I consider it as important as the words. As always, thank you for your support!

Happy new year! I, too, am on a quest to develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with my writing. It’s challenging - there are so many distractions, external and internal - but like you I am drawn on by the feeling of urgency. If not now, when? I’m glad to connect with others on the same path.

Constellate! I just learnt a new word and I love it.

Lovely thoughts and reflections on rituals, Priya.

May you find a way to bring about more writing time for yourself this year. I hope to do the same! :)

I love the steps that you wrote down to create rituals, especially this: “the past, present, and future are here”. I can imagine past, present, and future me surrounding me as I journal or paint ritualistically.

Wish you a very Happy New Year, one filled with writing and words!

Hi Priya, 100 invisible things ? Is this your euphemism for chores of for Priya ? When you close your lids is visibility then clear in your mind's eye ? Peace, Maurice

Maurice, not for chores. Most of the hundred things, if I am honest, are inside my head. Thank you for reminding me! Happy New Year!

Really enjoyed reading this beautiful piece. I can very much relate with both the lack of time and the urgency! And learning the meaning of constellate. That mysterious union. Gotta love new interesting words. We are after all made of those stars after all, and magnetised towards them in our writing.

I'm on my own recent journey on Substack. Good to connect.

Had you answered chores, I would have been disappointed in my failed assessment. Full marks, and have a wonderful journey this year. Peace, Maurice

Oh wow Priya, I loved reading your words which are like a balm and feel that they have spoken to a part of my hope for this year too. I loved your beautiful take on the unfolding of ritual and the use of constellation to talk about a bringing together as well as a celestial experience. Wishing you well for the year ahead xx
